The Story

Blustream DA44AU 4x4 Dante Digital Audio Converter (DA44AU)

The Blustream DA44AU is a four input / four output Dante digital audio converter that connects non‑Dante audio sources to a Dante network and converts Dante signals back to analogue audio. It supports balanced and unbalanced audio and MIC line level inputs with 48V phantom power.

Integrate Non‑Dante Sources into a Dante Network

Connect mixing consoles, amplifiers, computers, and Blustream Matrix / distribution products as audio sources within a Dante network.

  • 4 x analogue audio inputs are converted to a Dante compatible signal
  • Independent input gain settings per channel

Convert Dante to Analogue Outputs

Convert Dante audio back to analogue.

  • Conversion of 4 x Dante signals to analogue audio outputs

Balanced, Unbalanced, and Microphone Input Support

Analogue audio inputs support balanced and unbalanced audio and MIC line level signals.

  • MIC line level supports 48V/0.5mA phantom power

Sample Rates, Latency, and Transport

Supports multiple sample rates, configurable device latency using Dante Controller, and AES67 RTP audio transport.

  • 44.1, 48 & 96kHz sample rates @ 24-bit
  • Configurable Dante device latency: 1, 2 or 5ms
  • Supports AES67 RTP audio transport

Connections

Connectivity includes Phoenix audio terminals and RJ45 Dante network ports, plus 12V DC power.

  • Audio input connector: 12‑pin Phoenix (4ch balanced / unbalanced analogue audio / MIC)
  • Audio output connectors: 2 x RJ45, female (1Gb Dante network); 12‑pin Phoenix (4ch balanced / unbalanced analogue audio / MIC)
  • Power: 12V/1A DC
