The Rockford Fosgate M2D4-12IB Color Optix 12” infinite baffle subwoofer delivers loud, clear, accurate bass, and lights the way for your journey! M2 provides a customized look by using either the stainless-steel grille or the black “sport” grille inserts. The Element Ready™ design and IPX6 certification make them purpose-built for marine or motorsport applications where protection from damaging UV rays and water spray is essential. This subwoofer is optimized for Infinite Baffle installations, where an enclosure is not required. To prevent cancellation, a mounting baffle is required to isolate any interaction between the front and rear wavelengths.

 

The M2 series of Element Ready™ subwoofers are designed to pair with the Rockford Fosgate Color Optix™ Controller and RF Connect App through its Deutsch™ and Amphenol™ connectors integrated into the basket, allowing you to customize your color patterns. This combined with their IP67 certification makes these speakers Element Ready™ and truly purpose-built for marine applications. To complement the plug and play connectivity and streamline installation, M2 subwoofers are equipped with a VersaSwitch™ to make changing impedance between 2 and 8 ohms as easy as flipping a switch.

Stainless steel mesh or sport-style inserts are included, so you can pick the look that best suits your boat. Underneath the UV-stable ASA plastic frame, you'll find an injection-molded mineral-filled polypropylene cone that's treated with UV inhibitors, plus a moisture- and tear-resistant synthetic fiber blend spider.

Switchable impedance

The 2-position VersaSwitch™ lets you set up the sub for 2-ohm or 8-ohm impedance with a simple flip of the switch. Deutsch™ and Amphenol™ waterproof wiring connectors will stand up to the elements, whether you're on open water or tied up at the marina. Light up the night

The sub also features Rockford Fosgate's Color Optix™ RGB LED lighting system to give you bright, colorful lighting that accents your boat's interior. The lighting can be programmed for a variety of special lighting effects via the PMX-RGB lighting controller (sold separately) or through a smartphone app.
